Host and MC - Fitz Koehler
Fitz Koehler, M.S.E.S.S. is one of the most prominent and compelling race announcers and fitness experts in America. As the voice of the Los Angeles Marathon, Philadelphia Marathon, Big Sur Marathon, DC Wonder Woman Run Series, and more, she brings big structure, energy, and joy to racing. She's known for making start lines combustible fun, and for pouring big love on every athlete to cross her finish lines (often paired with hugs). The clinics she teaches at races are jam-packed with powerful content, laughs, and inspiration.
With a passion for helping others live better and longer, she’s appeared on national media outlets and has worked as a spokesperson and speaker for corporations like Disney, Tropicana, Oakley, and Office Depot. Fitz has also inspired millions of kids to get active through her successful school running/walking program, The Morning Mile®. Fitz's memoir, My Noisy Cancer Comeback, was released in October 2020 and has become the go-to source of inspiration for thriving for surviving cancer. Race Director - Tina Oprean
Tina is part of the Run to You Racing staff and is leading the effort of this event. Tina additionally serves as the Head Distance Coach at Malone University. Oprean became Malone's first even NCAA Division II All-American in 2013 and recorded a third place finish at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Cross Country Championships. Oprean set two Malone records: the 5,000 meter (16:54.56) and 1,500 meter (4:35.32) and is in the top 10 list for a variety of events. She has won multiple All-Conference awards in the GLIAC in both cross country and track. At the national level, Oprean was an NCAA national qualifier in the 5,000 meter for track and field and won USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week.
